"The Hanging Sword" tells the story of Xiao Yi, a Kuomintang general who was dissatisfied with his passive resistance to Japan during the Anti-Japanese War and established his own "Anti-Japanese Iron Cavalry" to defend the land of Yingzhong. Although he had great military exploits, he was ostracized and suppressed, and eventually died tragically for his country amidst conspiracy and betrayal. His unyielding spirit was like a sword hanging high, which demonstrated the integrity of the nation and the ironclad strength of the military.
