Set against the backdrop of the Ailao Mountains, the story follows widow Lin Huilan and her three sons as they struggle to survive. After her husband, Lin Tiezhu, dies in an accident, Lin Huilan shoulders the burden of supporting her family alone, holding on to a mother’s love amid poverty and hardship.
