The ten years of Yuan Jiujiu's life were ten years spent chasing after Gao Yuan's fluttering robes.
From a little girl with her hair in pigtails to a young maiden, her gaze was like a kite tethered by a string, always fixed on that cool, refined young man. She thought that from then on, their roads would diverge, and neither would owe the other anything.
But she never imagined that the man who had never once looked at her would redden his eyes the moment she turned away. He snuffed out every possible light around her and trapped her in his arms with ruthless possessiveness, his voice hoarse and obsessive: “Yuan Jiujiu, you want to leave? Did you ask me first?”
It turned out that what came late was not deep affection, but an even crueler act of taking her by force. On the road where she had nowhere left to retreat, he had laid a web that covered every escape.
