The “Land of the End” did not exist naturally. It originated in humanity’s “God-Making Project.” It was meant to be a proving ground to select “successors to divinity” (also known as “completers of humanity”), awakening participants’ potential through extreme trials. However, the plan was twisted by the rebellion of its first victor, “Heavenly Dragon.” Having witnessed the damage the path to godhood inflicted on human nature and the collapse of his companions, Heavenly Dragon resolved to stop anyone from becoming a god again. He turned the proving ground into an endless killing game.
