In the "Mirror City", a future city that relies on implanting perfect memories to maintain order, Ling Su, a top memory restorer, is troubled by a recurring memory fragment that does not belong to him: a woman's face, and a sea that is too real to be true. In pursuit of the truth, he embarks on a forbidden path in search of "wrong" memories. Every step he takes may lead to him being erased by the city's "executive officer", and every layer of lies revealed brings him closer to the original sin when the Mirror City was founded. He must make the final choice between fictional happiness and painful reality.
