The world once had a glorious civilization and a powerful practice system (perhaps immortality, magic, or others), but it encountered a huge disaster that swept the world (for example: ancient wars between gods and demons, taboo experiments out of control, the arrival of evil gods from outside the sky, the collapse of laws, etc.). The cataclysm caused the world to be filled with violent energy called "haze", and the traditional way of practice was almost cut off. Direct absorption of the energy of heaven and earth would lead to madness, alienation, and transformation into irrational "aberrant bodies."
