Emperor Shenzong's New Song

In the early years of the Xining era of the Northern Song, the empire is mired in deep-rooted ills. The Three Redundancies have drained the treasury, while powerful clans and nobles have become entrenched, eating away at the nation's strength. To the northwest, Western Xia watches like a hawk and a wolf; to the north, the Liao's iron cavalry encircles the empire, waiting to pounce.

The young Emperor Zhao Xu holds a hand full of peril. Should he cling to the old ways and settle for mere survival, or pursue bold reforms? Watch as a man who transmigrates into Emperor Shenzong of Song makes his moves, using the realm as his game board to forge a different ending for the Northern Song.
