When Disaster Strikes: I Take Control of Everything, Starting as a Security Guard

Chen Mo, a retired soldier king, goes undercover in the city as an ordinary security guard to repay a debt of gratitude. An unprecedented torrential rain disaster sweeps across the entire city. Communications, power, and transportation all grind to a halt, turning the city into an isolated island and pushing social order to the brink of collapse. Amid the chaos and despair, Chen Mo draws on his exceptional military training and survival skills. Starting by protecting his employer, he gradually pools resources and unites people, establishing a new order atop the ruins. He must not only survive the disaster, but also navigate the lawless workplace and corridors of power as humanity crumbles around him. He pits his wits against former elites turned ruthless, thugs exploiting the crisis, and a vast conspiracy lurking behind the scenes. In the end, he rises from an ordinary man at the bottom of society to a warlord whose decisions determine the life and death of countless people, discovering the loneliness of standing at the top.
