The renowned writer Yan Yu receives a special letter from Lan Xi, who asks to meet and tell her about the crimes she and two friends committed 20 years ago. She begs Yan Yu to turn their story into a novel and publish it as soon as possible, because one of her friends has cancer. When they meet, Lan Xi reveals a hidden past spanning 20 years. At 16, insecure Lan Xi, Bao'er, who loves ballet, and rebellious Liu Liu are brought together by an accident.
