Enlisted in the Dragon Palace from the Start, Forced to Subdue Nezha

When Li Yu woke up, he had become a koi spirit in the East Sea, with the weakest cultivation and a diet of whatever he could scavenge.

Just then, the Dragon Palace began recruiting, offering free food and lodging. On impulse, he signed up.

Only then did he learn that his immediate superior was Li Gen, the Sea Patrol Yaksha, a nameless extra who got killed by Nezha the moment he appeared!

Li Yu looked at the murderous Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals beside him, then at the tip of his tail, which hadn’t even fully transformed. Was it too late to run?

Just then, he awakened his golden finger: his eyes could see the spiritual light of every treasure, allowing him to hunt for hidden riches!

And so he understood:

“Why should I care about the big shots fighting? While you’re battling for your lives, I’ll be taking advantage of the chaos to snag the spoils!”

And so Li Yu frantically scavenged for treasure while stirring up trouble between the Dragon King and Nezha... No, wait, he was doing his best to mediate!

Years later, after the Investiture of the Gods calamity had ended and the Sages looked back, they realized that the koi who had frantically picked up “trash” on the battlefield had long since become surrounded by countless treasures, the only man in the Primordial World to transcend the calamity!
