Paranoid redemption: the red rope under the desk
Art student Lin Xiaoxia entered the campus carrying a red rope left by her grandmother. In an ancient literature class, the red rope accidentally hooked the pen of anatomy professor Shen Yanzhi - this "protective rope" turned out to be the key to a three-hundred-year-old fate.
Shen Yanzhi appears to be cold and ascetic, but in fact he is haunted by the "Guardian's Curse". The ancient ferocious beast Taotie is sealed in his body, and Lin Xiaoxia's red rope is the contracted magic weapon bound to his soul. From deliberately approaching her in the library, to dragging her away out of control due to jealousy on a rainy night, to revealing the secret of "waiting for her for three hundred years" in the anatomy room, Shen Yanzhi's yandere possessiveness is layered on top of each other, and the red rope becomes a barometer of his emotions: glowing when he is sweet, and hot when he is out of control.
Lin Xiaoxia went from being ignorant to silly white sweet, and gradually got involved in the reincarnation of her past life - three hundred years ago, she was a spirit girl who sacrificed her soul, and Shen Yanzhi was a disciple who killed his master for her. When the seal of Taotie was broken and the rift in time and space opened, she understood the true meaning of the red rope "protecting you and locking you": Either cut the red rope and return to ordinary life, or live with him and bear the curse that spans three lives.
The teacher-student love is intertwined with the beast's curse and past life obsessions. Shen Yanzhi's paranoia is both a prison and a redemption. Lin Xiaoxia's choice determines whether the two can break the fateful closed loop of "falling in love and killing each other" and turn the red rope from a cursed shackle into an eternal bond.
