“Child, don’t be afraid. Grandpa’s here to take you home.”
Those old yet powerful words left the despairing Qi Tongwei stunned. He had no idea that the person on the other end of the phone was a high-ranking Republic elder who had lived in seclusion for thirty years: his real grandfather, Qi Junshan!
[Ding! Family mission: Save Qi Tongwei and reshape his life!]
Qi Junshan is a legendary old man who carries the ideals of countless revolutionaries and the scars of war. He once made way for the younger generation and buried his longing deep in his heart. But now he has learned that his long-lost grandson has been driven to the brink of taking his own life! The fury he has held back for thirty years erupts at last!
[Mission List:]
Rescue the grandson with thunderous force: Land a helicopter on Guying Ridge, break every rule, and pull his grandson back from the brink of death!
Settle scores in Handong: Starting with the Liang Lu family, who bullied his grandson, and moving on to Zhao Lichun’s “independent kingdom of Handong,” leave no one untouched!
Reform Qi Tongwei: Turn him from a worldly, calculating head of the Public Security Department into an upright pillar of the nation!
Expose the truth: Hou Liangping arrives full of confidence, only to find his “imperial sword” thwarted at every turn. His father-in-law, the Zhong family, collapses overnight. Who has he provoked?! Fear follows him like a shadow!
Political allies: Gao Yuliang goes from shock at meeting Qi Junshan to choosing an alliance. Teacher and student join forces to tear open Handong’s web of corruption!
This is more than an anti-corruption storm. It is a story of a deep bond between grandfather and grandson spanning time, a steadfast defense of idealism, and a fight to protect the family’s honor! When an even bigger mastermind emerges from the shadows, how will Qi Junshan use a lifetime of achievements and his love for the nation to make his final move?
