Blood Moon on the Hungry Ghost Festival: The Supernatural Descends Worldwide

On the Ghost Festival in 2025, a blood moon hung in the sky as paranormal horrors descended across the globe. Hengshui High School, sealed off under crushing pressure,

became a breeding ground for vengeful spirits. The school’s graduation rates had long been bound to ancient curses and the greed of its administrators, while the students’ suffering and stress served as food for evil spirits. During the dead silence of evening self-study, Chen Mo, a senior, awakens an SSS-rank talent: Reality Bending Through Speech. One word, “Stop,” can pin down a rotting evil spirit; one cry of “Break” can tear apart the fog of a curse. He must use the power of truth to fight Chinese-style horrors, from talismans and feng shui formations to vengeful spirits left behind by a Japanese military laboratory. At the same time, he must uncover the school’s secret scheme to sacrifice students in exchange for higher graduation rates. Amid the clash of pens and blood, exam papers and evil spirits, he must carve a path to survival for himself and his classmates. Thrilling wish fulfillment and horror collide, as the suffocating pressures of reality meet supernatural terror in a chilling tale of Chinese horror.
