Reborn in 2002: From Financial Mogul to the North

In 2025, financial tycoon Lin Chen dies suddenly of a heart attack, only to be reborn in 2002 as a high school senior, with just six months until the college entrance exam. Armed with an extraordinary memory and a remarkably fit body, he gives up his place at Tsinghua’s School of Economics and Management and insists on applying to the acting program at the Beijing Film Academy, pursuing the screen career he dreamed of as a boy.

Thanks to his wealthy family, Lin Chen uses his private savings, college tuition money, and gifts from his elders to make calculated moves in the financial markets during the summer after the entrance exam, earning his first fortune. While studying at the Beijing Film Academy, he immerses himself in acting and often sneaks into directing classes to hone his creative skills. He meets Liu Yifei, who is taking the same entrance exams, and later forms a bond with Yang Mi, a fellow alum from the Class of 2005, through a TV series. As his career in show business develops, he also crosses paths with Dilraba.

After graduating, Lin Chen acts and directs, with his work winning major awards at Cannes, Venice, and other international film festivals. He then moves into commercial filmmaking and achieves further success. In his spare time, he makes savvy investments in promising sectors like the internet and real estate, gradually consolidating his film and television resources. In the end, he transforms from an actor into a major investor with control over both capital and production, becoming a benchmark in the industry and building an empire spanning entertainment and business.
