When Lin Mo woke up from the cold ground and found himself in the corridor of an abandoned, dilapidated and silent hospital, he realized that this was not a hallucination or a kidnapping.
An icy will called "The Corridor" drags him and a group of strangers into this supernatural dimension. They were forced to bind the "Spirit Contract" system and became trialists struggling to survive in countless deadly "fields". Each field is a space distorted by powerful resentment, originating from tragic events that actually happened in the real world. The only law of survival is not force, but insight into and use of the weird and deadly "rules" in each field.
Their goal is to accumulate enough points to exchange for slim freedom, or to find the legendary "core" that can end everything. But in this abyss of despair, what is more terrifying than the resentful spirits is the unfathomable human heart and the terrifying and huge conspiracy of the "corridor" itself...
