When the brightest star collides with the most silent fortress, when a national idol’s heart is stirred by the rules that safeguard the nation.
A grand gala themed “Paying Tribute to the Most Beloved People of the New Era” brings the life of top-tier star Su Mi into contact with Qin Ji, commander of the nationally strategic special forces unit Dragon Flame.
He is the military’s renowned hawkish blade, a national bulwark who is as steadfast as a mountain in silence and as swift as thunder in action. His world consists only of steel, missions, and absolute loyalty. His mission is to protect the lights in every home, yet he never stands beneath those lights. A temporarily assigned security detail brings him face-to-face with the woman who shines brilliantly onstage and is adored by countless fans. To him, her world of glitz and clamor could not be more different from his own life of silence and secrecy.
She is a star of honor, beloved by everyone and dazzling in the spotlight. But after an unexpected online scandal, she is drawn into a covert incident involving national security. To protect this special “witness” and draw out the mastermind, an order forces Qin Ji to become Su Mi’s “temporary bodyguard.”
And so, two lives that could not be more different are forced to live under the same roof.
She tries to melt his icy reserve in her own way, only to discover the burning patriotism deep in his heart.
He is used to judging her world by his own principles, but is surprised to find independence and resilience beneath her dazzling starlight.
He comes from a world of flying bullets; she blossoms beneath the gaze of countless admirers.
She is the one soft ray of starlight to penetrate his impenetrable fortress, while he is her steadfast source of strength beyond the glitz of the entertainment world.
