Two Heroines Reborn: Legitimate and Illegitimate Sisters-in-Arms Turn the Palace Upside Down!

Modern-day best friends Shen Peiqi and Shen Yuexin are fooling around in a swimming pool when they fall in. When they open their eyes, they have become the legitimate and secondary daughters of the Shen family in ancient times. Their original selves had just fought over a reward and fallen into the water! Taking in each other’s ancient costumes, they immediately understand: they have been reborn together, and they’re here to stir things up! The original daughters were supposed to be enemies? Not a chance! Modern office workers know that cooperation brings mutual success. Shen Peiqi uses her status as the legitimate daughter to hold her ground, while Shen Yuexin relies on a secondary daughter’s sharp instincts to gather information. Together, they foil their stepmother’s schemes and put their awful sisters in their place, until the Shen household runs by their rules! Their goal is clear: marry into the imperial family and enjoy the fun of household and palace intrigue! Shen Peiqi chooses the crown prince: if she’s going to marry, she might as well become empress and stand at the top of the harem. Shen Yuexin picks the Sixth Prince: a carefree prince is the safest bet, and she can help her best friend keep an eye on the court! No golden finger? No problem! They use modern logic to check account books and find physical evidence, then pool information to solve a military-grain scandal and thwart a coup. They help the crown prince ascend the throne, while the Sixth Prince safely remains a carefree royal. But just as both women are enjoying success in work and love, they discover they’re pregnant at the same time. The crown prince’s eldest son and the prince’s child become targets of every enemy’s poisonous schemes! The two expectant mothers join forces once more: one secures the harem while the other roots out traitors at court. They’ll protect their babies and make the conspirators pay! When the little ones are finally born, the empress and the prince’s consort exchange smiles. This life of intrigue is way more fun than working overtime in the modern world!
