I Was Already on the Throne When the Sky Screen Finally Revealed I Was About to Rebel

[Transmigration + the sky screen appears + empress + satisfying read + plot twists + a sly, tea-scented male lead who appears later]

Jiang Ci was killed in an explosion and transmigrated into the body of Jiang Qingci, a merchant's daughter.

The original owner's life was as fragile as paper: on her wedding day, she caught her fiancé cheating, and his mistress, a fake innocent, brazenly moved in. In the ensuing chaos, a refugee killed her with a brick.

Taking over the mess, Jiang Ci swung her fists and beat the scumbag until he was crawling on the ground!

Before she could finish, a sky screen suddenly appeared overhead:

[Hello, everyone! Welcome to the Fox Maiden livestream. Today's great figure is the founding ruler of the Hua dynasty, Empress Wu Zhao!]

Jiang Qingci sneered. Empress or not, who cared? All she wanted was to kill her fiancé's family and his mistress to avenge the original owner.

[According to the Chronicles of the Hua Dynasty, when the empress was in the capital, she often helped refugees. The items she gave away always bore a pear-blossom mark.]

Jiang Qingci trembled. That was her mother's mark! The empress... was her? Time to change the plan: kill her fiancé's family and his mistress, then run away!

[The empress's tomb is open~ So her name was Jiang Qingci!]

Jiang Qingci, fleeing into exile: They spoiled my identity? Easy. I can disguise myself as a rich merchant's son, a wandering Daoist, a kitchen hand... I've got plenty of looks to choose from.

And then, at the very end...

The sky screen's tone suddenly changed:

[The vassal kings have been subdued, the peasant uprising crushed, and foreign powers driven back. The Third Prince of Dayu has finally become the “sole” emperor. But when he looks around, it seems his empire consists of... nothing but Luoyang? Oh! So Jiang Qingci has already tucked the whole realm into her pocket? Empress, rebel!]

Jiang Qingci curled her lip. Rebel? Sorry, my backside has already warmed the dragon throne!
