The Hilarious Ghost-Hunting Handbook

In a modern urban setting, there are demons and monsters that ordinary people cannot see. There is a loose and mostly unreliable "mysticism circle," made up of orthodox Taoist heirs, Buddhist disciples, folk practitioners, con artists, and the like. Spiritual energy is scarce, genuine talent is rare, and most of them are just bluffing. Lin Fan may be the sole heir to an extremely unreliable little ghost-hunting sect, or perhaps an ordinary person who accidentally acquired an irreverent "Funny Ghost-Hunting Manual." He's optimistic (or maybe just thick-skinned), poor, and a little clever. He can occasionally be relied upon at crucial moments, and has a special "comedic" talent.
