In Shanghai in 1936, female student Su Muyan was arrested for participating in a patriotic parade and was rescued by a mysterious man Lu Jingyuan. Lu Jingyuan appears to be a manager of a foreign bank, but is actually an underground party member. Mu Yan was moved by his feelings for his family and country, and took the initiative to help pass on information. In the troubled times of Japanese raids and military investigations, the two stayed together in the alley amid fireworks and bullets. When Shanghai fell, they chose to go to the front line to fight against the enemy together, using their youth to protect their homeland and love.
