Wandering Through the World of Hong Kong Movies

He transmigrates into Uncle Nine's world, wielding a peachwood sword and drawing talismans to ward off evil, taking his first steps on the path of the Dao amid the roars of zombies and vengeful ghosts. He enters the world of Hong Kong film and television, bearing the Seven Killing Decrees of the Gods and Ghosts, slaying urban demons and breaking the dark arts of Southeast Asia, forging a ruthless Daoist heart in blood and fire. He encounters Mao Xiaofang, the Taoist master who fights zombies, and discusses what lies beyond union with the Dao beneath the Tianshan night sky. Only then does he learn that the world has its limits, but the Dao has none. In the world of Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, he witnesses fox demons weeping blood and scholars losing their souls. The suffering of the people in a chaotic age cuts like a knife, and he finally understands that the Dao is not found atop a mountain, but among the people. Amid the tribulations of the human world in My Date with a Vampire, he battles Jiang Chen and defies fate, tempering his heart and proving the Dao amid love and hatred until he attains eternal life. At last, he breaks through the gates of myth, slays immortals and demons before the Investiture Stele, and questions the Heavenly Dao in the Lingxiao Palace. Looking back, the candlelight of the Myriad Worlds still shines in the eyes of the youth, while the suffering of humanity has become reflected in the eyes of a sage. I wield the Seven Killing Decrees to bring calamity and save the world, becoming a lone blade at the summit of myth. Yet I say: Immortality is easy to attain, but holding fast to one's original purpose is hard.
