The Celestial Master of the Mound: The Truth

Cao Ran is a history student. His father died when he was young, and he was raised by his grandfather. At his grandfather’s insistence, he studied an ancient text every day. It contained detailed descriptions of tomb construction, how to survey famous mountains and rivers, how to read feng shui, and methods for warding off ghosts and spirits. One day, his grandfather fell gravely ill. On his deathbed, he told Cao Ran, “Ran, we’re descendants of the Faqiu clan, one of the four great schools of tomb raiders. Your father died a horrible death in a tomb during an archaeological expedition. Your birth chart is naturally weak in yang energy, so you attract unclean things. Remember, don’t get involved in these matters.” But Cao Ran was determined to uncover the truth about his father’s death and find his own path forward. Thus began his adventure.
