In this modern city, where people with superpowers are nothing unusual, saving the world is a privilege reserved for a tiny minority. Most people with "extraordinary gifts" face a more practical problem: how to get by with their rather "useless" abilities.
Xuan Yi is a mind-reading corporate drone, drowning in a flood of customers' negative emotions every day at the customer service center and on the verge of a breakdown. Zhou Zhuo is a lazy boss who "shuts down" whenever he concentrates, and runs a bizarre agency that claims it can "handle anything." Then there's the honest Da Niu, who has incredible strength but can only haul bricks, and Bai Wei, a cleaning expert with molecular-level neat freak tendencies.
This is a group of superpowered people who exist outside the mainstream. Together, they form the Screw Agency, taking on all kinds of "bizarre cases" that legitimate companies refuse to handle and ordinary people can't solve:
Providing counseling to a temperamental antique coffee machine; cleansing the emotions of a haunted house steeped in a century of loneliness; even... hunting down a pair of limited-edition sneakers that have gained sentience and attack people!
Their slogan is: "We fix any kind of defiance (non-physical only)."
And so, the urban legend gets a new twist: when your belongings start acting up, when your home is no longer peaceful, don't look for a Daoist priest or a mage. Try calling the Screw Agency hotline.
After all, saving the world is a distant dream. But that coffee machine that keeps playing "The Most Dazzling Ethnic Style" at five in the morning? They're the experts at dealing with that.
This is an urban fantasy comedy about a group of superpowered people down on their luck, and how they use their most bizarre abilities to solve the most trivial problems,
