In the giant city of New Kyoto in 2242, technology can turn memories into commodities. The rich buy other people's most valuable experiences to seek excitement, while the poor sell pieces of their own lives to survive.
A man codenamed "Zero" woke up at the bottom of the city with nothing in his mind except a warm memory of the sun and beach that did not belong to him. In order to find out "who I am", he broke into the bizarre memory black market and met the mysterious broker "Echo". He was horrified to find that his erased life was being cut into pieces and circulated at high prices on the market.
Every time you regain your memory, it is a gamble of life and death. Every time he pieced together the past, he got closer to the conspiracy that could overturn the world. When he finally discovers that he was one of the creators of this cruel world, how will he choose?
This is a requiem for the imprisoned soul, a story about redefining "me" on top of the ruins.
