[Absurd Comedy] [Adorable Pets] [Farming] [Transmigration] [Family Intrigue] [System]
Ying Qixue slipped on her way to catch her partner cheating and met her untimely end.
While waiting in line in the underworld, she asked if the soup of oblivion could come with tapioca pearls and coconut jelly. The impatient Meng Po and a System that kept crashing teamed up to send her off for "reemployment."
So much for starting out rich, beautiful, and privileged!
Instead, she opened her eyes to find herself transmigrated into the body of an ancient widow, penniless and living in a house with nothing in it. She had nearly ended up as a hanging ghost, too.
Ying Qixue rubbed her neck and decided this was a rather neck-straining start.
The System? Useless. Its signal was always down.
The only treasure she found was a fox cub she planned to fatten up and turn into a scarf.
Unfortunately, the cub had a healthy appetite, no particular skills, and a gift for getting into trouble. Its eyes, though, were enough to melt anyone's heart.
She would just get on with life: farm a little, pet the fox, and deal with the troublesome people around her.
But wasn't this story going a little off script?
All she wanted was a quiet retirement in ancient times, but the fox cub had way too many secret identities. One moment it was an adorable pet, the next a little child, and apparently it was some kind of big shot, too?
