Pangu separated heaven and earth, then died of exhaustion. His body transformed into all things, while his primordial spirit became the ancient gods, including Nuwa, Fuxi, and Haotian. His skull and resentment transformed into the ferocious beast Hou, the source of calamity and destruction, setting it against the gods who protect the world. The benevolent side of Pangu, representing protection, is embodied by the Pangu Clan and the human race created by Nuwa. His evil side, representing destruction, is embodied by Hou and the zombies descended from it. Their conflict is eternal.
