1. The protagonist's background: Lin Feng is a modern young man and a devoted fan of Jin Yong and Gu Long's martial arts novels. He knows their works inside out. While attending a martial arts-themed exhibition, he is caught in a mysterious incident. A flash of blinding light appears, and Lin Feng loses consciousness.
2. Awakening in another world: Lin Feng slowly comes to and finds himself in an unfamiliar mountain forest, surrounded by an ancient atmosphere.
