A man-made disaster meets nature's backlash: a “Green Tide” virus leak and rampant global plant growth. An accident at a biotech company caused its “Plant Vitality Enhancer” to leak and mutate into the “Green Tide” virus, which can spread through plant sap and pollen. Those infected gradually turn into plants: moss grows on their skin, their joints stiffen, and eventually they become immobile “vegetable” people. At the same time, the virus accelerates plant growth around the world. Vines devour cities, giant weeds blanket farmland, and humanity's living space rapidly shrinks.
