Imperial Ci Pu (Free Public Edition Book)

It is also called "Kangxi Ci Pu", or "Ci Pu" for short. Poetry works. It was first engraved in the 54th year of Kangxi reign (1715). Forty volumes. This book was compiled by reading the previous word scores and comparing them with each other. Any errors in the tone, segmentation, sentence pronunciation and rhyme of the old scores were corrected according to the original words. There are 826 tones and 2,306 styles collected from the Tang, Five Dynasties, Song and Yuan dynasties. The tunes are arranged in order according to their length; if the names of the tunes are the same, the long and short ones are listed together and distinguished by "Yu Yi". For each tune, one poem from the Tang, Song, and Yuan Dynasties must be written in the original style by the founder, and the others must be in other styles with suffixes; if there is no test, the order of the times will be used. The words quoted are from selected works of the Song and Yuan Dynasties and each person's collection. The anonymous words are also marked as coming from a certain book for the purpose of verification. The original story of the word's name and the synonyms of the words are scattered in many books, and they are all annotated; for the words, the sentence pronunciation and phonology are marked one by one. A picture is listed next to the word with empty and solid circles to distinguish the flat and oblique sound spectrum, and the difficult tones are also marked. This book was written after other works, and its genre and content are better than those before. Those who rely on the sound will like to take it as a guide, and researchers can also draw more resources.
