What? Shita Died Ages Ago? Greater conflict, a grander story, and humans and Sugar People tearing into each other
This is an adaptation of Kamen Rider Gavv, with changes from the original. It has multiple heroines, and some characters have been added, so characterizations have been revised. (Pay special attention to the changes to the Stomach family relationships: they are not all driven by hatred, to fit Shouma calling them his older brothers and sisters.) The foreshadowing and backstory have also been changed. The story places more emphasis on the Sugar People as a race with their own independent worldview and moral code, rather than a tool race whose members all share humanity’s values. (Some of their actions may not align with human supremacy.) Many characters may have been changed according to the author’s interpretation, so please keep that in mind. The author also thinks the Stomach twins are great characters to develop the story around, so readers who especially dislike them may want to steer clear.
The title was chosen based on the story’s main elements. It sounds a little chuunibyou when they’re put together, but hey, we’re all reading Kamen Rider, so what’s wrong with a little chuunibyou?
Under the dark skies of a rocky world, undercurrents stir. The birth of dark snacks ushers in an age of turmoil. When stone-born life from the darkness crosses paths with humans born of the light, the seeds of tragedy have already been sown.
What is love? Love for family? Love for friends? Romantic love? She has no answer.
What is sin? The sin of murder? The sin of betrayal? She believes it is the sin of causing harm.
What is revenge? A boy’s revenge against “home”? A girl’s revenge for her family? Or perhaps her revenge.
Perhaps this is another possibility. Here, fiercer conflicts and greater suffering are about to unfold.
