The Flavor of the Cauldron

An epic masterpiece set in China's food and beverage industry, depicting the love, hate, and tangled relationships of three generations, their business rivalries, and the legacy of culinary traditions.

The story revolves around the struggle for power at the Shiyu International Catering Group. Zhang Yuan, son of the God of Cooking Zhang Shiqiang, was originally the heir to an empire. But a kind act meant to repay his birth mother's care touched the most sensitive nerve deep inside his stepmother, Lu Ying, turning mother and son against each other and tearing the family apart.

Exiled, Zhang Yuan starts out at a humble street-food stall. His understanding of "home and warmth" leads him to create a new model for Chinese fast food. His senior apprentice brother, Chu Xiong, is vilified and driven overseas. There, he combines Western culinary techniques with a top-tier Western restaurant brand, then returns intent on revenge. Meanwhile, Chen Wenlong, an ambitious schemer hidden within the group, quietly makes his move and waits for the right moment.

And so, a grand saga of family bonds, romance, and master-disciple ties erupts amid the bustle of the culinary world. Traditional Chinese cuisine, modern Western cuisine, and innovative fast food form three rival powers, locked in a love-hate struggle. Fierce business battles, peak culinary showdowns, and an endless stream of feuds among the wealthy families explore the timeless questions of legacy and innovation, desire and original purpose, grudges and forgiveness.

This is not merely a competition of flavors, but a contest of human values. In the end, who will grasp the truth of "all flavors returning to one," and thereby take charge of the future of Chinese cuisine?
