At the dawn of Hongmeng, heaven and earth had yet to take shape, and all things were chaos. Within that hazy void, a humanoid being came into existence, holding a Hongmeng Sword that surpassed chaos itself. With a flash of its blade, the wall of Hongmeng split apart, and chaos began to unfold. But the being exhausted its source of power and vanished into nothingness.
Unable to withstand the backlash of creating heaven and earth, the Hongmeng Sword shattered in an instant, becoming five divine weapons of chaos: the Tianhuang Sword, whose edge gleamed with deadly sharpness; the Hongmeng Pearl, which contained a world within; the Lingji Bell, whose chime shook the eight wildernesses; the Hunyuan Spear, which could annihilate all laws; and the Duanjie Halberd, which divided boundaries and realms.
When chaos first opened, five primordial beings came into existence, each receiving one of the divine weapons. Cangxu wielded the Tianhuang Sword, its sword energy sweeping in all directions; Xuannü held the Hongmeng Pearl, seeing through the secrets of heaven; Junzu carried the Lingji Bell, stabilizing the four quarters; Luzun gripped the Hunyuan Spear, shattering the firmament; and Yuanhuang raised the Duanjie Halberd, dividing yin from yang.
When the five beings learned that the divine weapons could be reforged into the Hongmeng Sword and grant limitless power, greed and suspicion spread like wildfire. A great war engulfed chaos. The power of their clashing weapons exceeded all imagination, shattering the structure of chaos and throwing heaven and earth out of balance.
In the end, all five primordial beings fell, and the divine weapons of chaos were scattered and lost. The shattered fragments of chaos evolved into the Myriad Worlds, countless realms dotting the river of time and space like stars. Among them, one world was destined to bear a new legend.
