Synopsis

Urban legends descend: In the year 2000, the world was infiltrated, blanketed, and distorted by an invisible force known as “rules-based urban legends.” The laws of reality partly failed, replaced by bizarre logic built around memes. You have to recognize memes, create them, solve them, use them, and reason backward from them.

Meme power: Understanding the memes of ancient times. Using and creating memes becomes a power that can fight urban legends, strengthen oneself, and even distort reality. This power is known as “meme power.” Those who don't understand memes, misunderstand them, or use them incorrectly face anything from social death to being assimilated by an urban legend and becoming part of its rules, transforming into a new urban legend or NPC.

Using memes correctly can resolve crises and increase one's meme power. Thus begins the tale of the love and hate between Ye Liangchen, the true ancient god of the Ye family, and Zhao Ritian.

Can't We Get a Proper Rules Horror Story? The Protagonist Needs to Have a Brain!!!!

Rules-based horror stories, but can the protagonist please have a brain?!!! Don't make them rely purely on a golden finger. If you like power fantasies, that's fine, but please don't recommend them here unless they actually fit!

Please Bury Me in High-Quality Urban Legend or Rule-Based Horror Stories 🙏

I want romance novels with highly intelligent characters, not just romance with a thin layer of something else slapped on! What's the point of a supernatural-rules horror story if all they do is fall in love? I might as well read an apocalypse novel...

Looking for Highly Rated, Long Novels with Tight Logic, No Idiotic Characters, and No Mindless Plotting

No brainless power-fantasy novels, and no novels filled with idiotic behavior. The logic should be a little more rigorous, and the book should be at least 400,000 Chinese characters long.
