Sweet and doting, one-on-one, both virgins, six-year age gap
Shen Jingshu is the only daughter of the Shen Group and has been the family's cherished little princess since childhood, showered with love. She was sweet and adorable as a child, and grew into a captivating young woman.
Ji Jinchen has looked after her ever since she was little, like a real older brother. Even her actual younger brother gives Ji Jinchen a wide berth, but Shen Jingshu is the only one who dares to act spoiled around him.
But when Shen Jingshu was in high school, her childhood friend moved abroad. They didn't meet again until several years later.
Their families are close, and after Ji Jinchen returned to the country, the two got married by arrangement to appease their families, agreeing to divorce after a year.
But with the agreed-upon divorce date fast approaching, why does the young master of the Ji family keep coming up with excuses to avoid going to the civil affairs bureau?
He has a business trip today, a meeting tomorrow…
A little scene
Ji Jinchen visits the Shen family to confirm their engagement and runs into Shen Jingshu in the garden. She wants to talk him into breaking off the engagement, but before she can speak, Ji Jinchen says:
“Little Jingshu once said she'd only marry me when she grew up.”
Shen Jingshu: “That was just pretend play when we were kids. We were joking. You can't take it seriously.”
Ji Jinchen, earnest and affectionate:
“But I've always taken it seriously. I've been waiting for you to grow up so I could marry you.”
I feel a little bit fond of the male protagonist. The female protagonist didn't like the male protagonist at first. She always regarded the male protagonist as her elder. The female protagonist was always being pushed away. It was as if the female protagonist didn't agree with the male protagonist, and the female protagonist's parents agreed just because the male protagonist said a few words.
