Chronicles of Lingxi

Shixi Village, with its babbling brooks, is the only home Lin Xi, an orphan, has ever known. She doesn’t know who her parents were; all she has is a smooth, warm stone hanging around her neck. Clever and kind, she is beloved by the villagers, but she has a hidden weakness: a deep fear of endless darkness.

When she was fourteen, war erupted, and iron hooves shattered the mountain village’s peace.
