The story takes place in a telecom scam compound in northern Myanmar in a modern urban setting. The compound is located near the border in northern Myanmar. Though it appears to be an ordinary industrial park, it is in fact a highly restricted base for telecom fraud. It has a strict hierarchy and surveillance system, and its victims are stripped of their freedom and forced to carry out telecom scams. Armed guards patrol the perimeter, sealing it off from the outside world and creating a brutal, closed society.
