Tempest of Unsolved Cases: A Battle Between Good and Evil

Su Qingcen is an imperial official who solves one unusual case after another alongside his close friend Liu Chenzhou and the physician Ye Jinghong. A copper token bearing the character “Medicine,” found in a poisoning case at the Imperial Medical Academy in the capital, leads to a fraud scandal in the Ministry of Rites uncovered during the imperial examinations. Then a theft at the Treasure Pavilion reveals a conspiracy involving a “shadow network” orchestrated by the Profound Shadow Pavilion. Four tokens engraved with the characters “Wolf,” “Medicine,” “Thief,” and “Shadow” link together a shocking plot to overturn the court.

After the remnants of the Profound Shadow Pavilion are wiped out, trouble stirs once more in Jiangnan. White lilies keep appearing in a child abduction case, and the theft of a golden jade imperial seal raises further suspicions. Su Qingcen and his companions venture deep into Taihu Lake to investigate the Lily Cult, uncover the truth about how the cult was being used, and cut off a poison-smuggling network along the waterways of Jiangnan.

From the center of power in the capital to the misty waterside towns of Jiangnan, they solve baffling cases with their ingenuity and protect the people with compassion. Through their battle between good and evil, they uphold justice and ultimately restore peace to the world.
