Zhu Chongliu's only son (who died in a famine in history) managed to survive the chaos of the late Yuan Dynasty and was later found by Zhu Yuanzhang. Zhu Yuanzhang was grateful for his second brother's kindness and treated him extremely favorably. He was named a prince and given the title of King Jingnan (a fictional title, which meant to pacify the south and fit in with the founding process of the Ming Dynasty).
