I Became a Saint Through Sign-In at Fangcun Mountain and Raised a Heavenly Court for the Demon Clan

[Behind the Scenes + Takes Wukong as His Disciple + Restores the Glory of the Demon Clan]

Chen Changsheng transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West and becomes Patriarch Bodhi's nominal "eldest senior brother," with a seniority so high it's absurd.

After binding to the Great Dao Sign-In System, he gets the Chaos Bell from his very first sign-in at Fangcun Mountain. He knows the Journey to the West tribulation is full of dangers: Buddhism is rising, Daoism is declining, and countless demons are reduced to pawns.

He had planned to rely on his invincible cultivation and lie low until the end of time, but the System issues a mission: [Host, please set things right, restore the glory of the ancient demon clan, and reestablish the Daoist lineage of the Jie Sect.]

Chen Changsheng: "Thanks for asking. I'm at Fangcun Mountain and just want to lie flat."

Not long after, a monkey named Sun Wukong comes to seek a master. Chen Changsheng casually tosses him a copy of the Nine Revolutions Profound Art instead of the Seventy-Two Transformations.

And so, the whole story of Journey to the West goes completely off the rails:

The one who wreaks havoc in the Celestial Palace is no longer a lawless demon monkey, but the eternal Demon Emperor Sun Wukong, shouting, "The demon clan shall rise!" His iron staff silences the gods and Buddhas across the heavens.

The White Dragon Horse at Eagle Sorrow Ravine is enlightened by him, rekindles the bloodline of the Ancestral Dragon, and sends dragon roars echoing through the Three Realms. The Dragon Kings of the Four Seas kneel to welcome their new sovereign.

The White Bone Demoness they pass on the way is taught the White Bone Sarira Sutra and transforms into the Netherworld Empress, ruling over reincarnation and shaking the Underworld to its core.

Buddhism and the Celestial Court are dumbfounded. Wasn't this supposed to be a tribulation to obtain the scriptures? How did it turn into a mythological revival?

When Guanyin Bodhisattva follows the clues to Fangcun Mountain, she finds Chen Changsheng leisurely picking his teeth with the God-Slaying Spear, shielding himself from the sun with the Jade Disc of Creation, and lost in thought: "What happened to the tribulation? How did all my disciples become patriarchs of their own sects?"
