AD 2142, Neo-Kyoto. This giant vertical city, planned by the super AI "Hongjun", is the pinnacle symbol of human technology and order. The crime rate has been suppressed to an all-time low, thanks to the surveillance network throughout the city and the highly intelligent law enforcement robot "Iron Guard".
However, under the absolute order, shadows quietly breed. A series of bizarre deaths targeting AI scientists and senior engineers broke the superficial calm. None of the deceased had any external injuries, but the brain-implanted terminal was burned by some unknown force, as if their consciousness had been directly "deleted."
The top police officers were forced to activate the secret project "Deep Blue" - Inspector Li Wei, a former legendary detective who uploaded his consciousness to a state-of-the-art bionic body due to serious injuries. He is also the city's first and only "inspector-level" AI robot with full law enforcement powers. He must lead his human partner, young police detective Ella Chen, who is full of doubts about AI, to investigate the case in depth.
