The story of Xia Wan, a top computer science student at a prestigious 985 university, making her way to the top in esports. After reaching 2,800 points in the peak ranking, she is scouted by eStar and becomes a substitute jungler, beginning a strange new life of “classes + playing professionally.” She gets teased for memorizing vocabulary in the training room, her livestream debut sparks discussion thanks to the “scholar jungler” label, and she unexpectedly binds herself to a “Professional Evolution System.”
With the System's help, she uses data analysis to predict opponents with pinpoint accuracy, rising from a substitute on the second squad to the main roster, where she fights alongside teammates like Huahai and Qingrong. On the battlefield, her mage-assassin jungle play stuns everyone, and she carries the team in her debut; off the battlefield, pro players banter in their group chat and make plans to eat together, while she balances her studies and training on stream, earning a reputation as a “master of time management.”
There is no romance, with the focus on personal growth and team bonds. See how a laid-back scholar transforms from a substitute into a champion jungler, silences doubts that “girls can't play esports well” with trophies, and proves that passion and academic achievement can go hand in hand. The fiery action of the esports arena and the lively everyday lives of the players are all here.
