The story follows a boy from the slums as he climbs the social ladder in a district divided among the gangs. Starting with growing vegetables, he establishes the “Dark Group” to protect independent traders and carve out a place to survive amid the power struggle between the Kanto Manji Gang, the Tenjiku, and Brahman.
