Transmigrating to the 1970s: Taking Charge, With a Family of Pushovers

Qin Xiawan has transmigrated to a rural village in 1972, into the body of someone with the same name. After spending most of her life fighting to build something, only to have it all wiped away in an instant, Qin Xiawan sees no hope in life and thinks she might as well die.

But it turns out the original owner's family is pretty decent. Her parents may be timid, but they love her dearly, and her two younger brothers are so obedient that they'll do whatever she says.

She was an orphan in her previous life, but now she has a family. Qin Xiawan wants to experience what having a home feels like. The trouble is, every member of her family is a pushover whom anyone can walk all over.

Luckily, they're not beyond saving. Her parents are willing to listen to her, and her two younger brothers are obedient too. In that case, she'll take charge of the household.

After word gets around that she's a shrew, someone still wants to marry her, and he's making a grand affair of it. He gives her the three big-ticket items and a whopping 300 yuan as a bride price.

Only after marrying into the family does Qin Xiawan learn that her in-laws are also a bunch of pushovers, desperately in need of someone strong to take charge.

In that case, she'll manage both her husband's family and her own. Fortunately, although her relatives are all softies, they don't question her decisions. Whatever Qin Xiawan tells them to do, they do.

And so Qin Xiawan leads both families down the broad road to happiness and prosperity.
