There is an anonymous book tied seven times with cowhide rope at the bottom of the old bookstall. There is only one sentence written on the title page - "Don't look back until you finish reading."
It has a total of thirteen volumes, each volume is its own game, but they share the same "bone":
Those fears you thought were over long ago have actually just begun.
Volumes 1 to 7 are independent of each other, with no overlap in characters, time, or location. Volumes 8 to 13 quietly stitch up the cracks in the first seven volumes in the dark, making all the stories footnotes and traps for each other.
Tonight, you are opening the first five volumes. They use "dialogue" as bait, "image" as a cage, and "turn back" as a murder weapon.
Don't make a sound, they have already heard you turning the pages.
