In the near-future city "New Arc City", a memory sharing technology called "sympathic echo" was supposed to be the gospel for healing spiritual trauma. However, when the chief researcher of a technology giant dies mysteriously, the only "witness" turns out to be a young artist Su Wan who has never been to the scene. She was forced to implant a bloody memory of killing that was not her own through the "sympathic echo". Old-school police detective Lu Chen, a man deeply suspicious of cutting-edge technology, must go deep into this maze composed of memory fragments. What he has to face is not only the dark conspiracy behind technology, but also a fundamental torture: when memories can be tampered with and transplanted, how should we define "truth" and "self"?
