Rejoice in Enemies

One of Zhang Henshui's most representative works. It tells the story of painter Yu Shuicun and singer Li Meifen who fell in love, but due to misunderstanding and fate, they drifted apart. The book depicts the conflict between art and reality. The characters are infatuated and stubborn, and finally reach a desolate ending in which "the joy is false and the enemy is true."
