Two hundred years ago, Emperor Gaozu of Han raised a rebellion at Mount Mangdang after slaying a white serpent. Two hundred years later, the white serpent is reborn as Wang Mang, the Duke of Anhan. He draws upon the dragon veins of the Nine Provinces, seeking to overthrow the Han dynasty.
Liu Yulong, a dragon keeper from Mount Kunlun, travels across the Nine Provinces to stop Wang Mang from transforming into a dragon. There, he discovers that Wang Mang is the incarnation of the ancient nine-headed serpent Xiangliu. With nine heads and nine lives, the serpent is entangled in a fated chain of cause and effect spanning millions of years. And so it begins!
