It tells the story of the first generation of public security soldiers in New China in Shanghai around 1950 who fought against Chiang Kai-shek's agents who attempted to subvert New China. The story revolves around a young policeman from the old era who had a high IQ but failed in the old society, and was reborn and grew up in New China. He teamed up with an experienced old CCP agent.
