The Heiress and the Family’s Original Sin

Lin Shuyao, heiress to the Lin Group, has spent her whole life in a carefully constructed “perfect world.” Her family is a business-world paragon, her father, Lin Zhenghong, is a philanthropist, her stepmother, Su Wan, is gentle and caring, and the family mansion is one of the city's most prominent landmarks. Then, on the eve of her twenty-second birthday, she unexpectedly discovers a coded diary in her grandfather's long-sealed study and half of a faded old photograph. Alongside her grandfather as a young man, the photo shows a strange woman and a baby. On the back, a line of blurred writing reads: “1998.7. Promise unfulfilled.” The discovery is like a stone thrown into a still lake, exposing a secret hidden beneath the Lin family's glamorous exterior for more than twenty years.
