A Housewife Binds to a Tycoon System

Female-led feel-good story, career, System, realistic setting

Years later, Wang Fang's hair was streaked with gray, and her grandchildren clustered around her knees.

At the end of the show Point of View, the host asked how she balanced her vast business empire and her family. Rather than respond sharply, she smiled and turned the question around: “Why do you always single out women and ask how they balance family and career? Don't men have to do that too?”

The host was momentarily at a loss for words. Wang Fang's smile never faded. “I've weathered a hail of bullets, been stationed in deserts and jungles, and dived beneath the deep sea and through icy waters. The truth is, a lot of things have nothing to do with gender, but a great deal to do with responsibility. You have to live up to the people who follow you, and make sure there are jobs to feed all those workers.

As for family, I don't believe it's ever a one-woman show. Men have a part to play, too.

My husband is probably what people mean when they talk about ‘the great man behind a successful woman.’”

In a word, “This is the story of a female tycoon's rise to power.”

Not a conventional story about getting rich overnight, but it is absolutely a satisfying read.

The heroine is married. Her career takes center stage, and her husband doesn't feature much.

(The author wrote this to satisfy a personal craving. There are no real-life inspirations; it's entirely fictional~)
